I'd like to organize something here; maybe for late Spring 2012 as its way too hot to do anything now. Maybe winter. Nice ride to get away from other nasty weather places..... Anyone interested in helping to put this together?

I'll be returning to Phoenix in early January 2012. If anyone wants to get involved in planning to get here; late Spring - Need help to. It begins here!

Arizona is high on my list of places to get back to on the bike.

OK, I've never organized a rally before but Arizona is a great riding state. I don't really like living here but I can't complain about the riding or the beauty of places here that compete with the rest of the country.

Ride through Northern or Southern AZ? Dependent on the late spring weather?

Anytime of year. Northern Arizona is WINDY late spring. Southern Arizona is just right. Arizona has over 300 clear riding days per year. There's many places here that are suitable for a meet and either day rides or a full out tour. Surprisingly, we have some of the nicest lakes in the country, and enough of them to fit everyone.

Mapped it out from SoCal; if I can get a couple extra locals, we can make Tempe in one good day's ride (`500 mi.). Keep the updates coming!

Its a nice ride, I did N Cali just a few months ago (765 m one way) and not on I5..... It would be really great to have a rally here. I put up a post on Craigslist here in Phoenix to find out if any Volusia owners want to do it.
