How do I adjust the idle speed? I lost my manual. It dies at stop signs. When I have the choke out a little bit it runs fine all day. Thanks

Start the bike up and wait for the low idle to kick in.. then adjust the screw while running. (the Idle screw will be the large flat head screw just under the tank on the left side of the bike (kickstand side). Adjust the screw until the Idle sounds to be about 800rpms.

That's a little beyond my skill level :? Is there a way to check idle speed for those of us without "perfect pitch"?

just tune it to where you think it sounds good. Nothing wrong with it being a little fast, it will be quicker on take off. Too low, it will stumble on acceleration. Keep in mind that it is 800cc, so normal idle will be faster than what you would hear on a Harley. Too many people set the idle really low for that Harley sound, but it makes the bike run like crap.

Plus idling too low could hurt the engine. The oil pump won't be able to move oil into all the places that need to be lubricated..
