Re: Helmet Noise

philmore,
Try pressing on the face shield while riding, it may not be tight to the rubber seal.
I had to adjust my Shoei's face shield and it made a nice improvement. [Shoei Quest]

I do try and wear ear plugs on long rides, but rarely back and forth to work.

Good Luck,
John

Re: My first bike!

Hello Marty,
Welcome.
A 2004 Volusia with that few miles, nice catch!

With your background in cars,
the Suzuki Volusia motorcycle should be
fairly easy to learn your way around.

The bike has a couple of good online resources for information, hints and help.

Braided front brake line

My last bike was a 650 sport bike with dual front disk brakes, the 2008 C50's is just a single front disk, no contest here. So I am trying for a little better, front braking action... I was just going to change the pads to a higher friction HH material, but I have too much pad life in the oem pads. ...

Re: Rear Seat (Larger Needed)

I had a fellow rider, have an upholstery shop re-do the stock pillion seat.

They made it wider and add more/thicker foam, then recovered it.

I think he only paid about $50 and his wife loved it.

Good Luck,
John
