Setting your preferences

Since we've had quite a number of new users lately, I figured it might be a good idea to put out a brief "howto" on how to manage your account settings here. If you've never used this version of board software before, it can be kind of confusing navigating your way around it. There are a few features that many people didn't even know about and I'll try and cover the big ones here.

I've installed a modification to the VOL that will automatically link certain words to content. Advertisers do something similar to target advertising by words, but in our case, we're going to use it to point users to content that is more appropriate, like help files or directions. For instance, words such as clutch valves and rejet will automatically be linked to instructions in The Library here on the VOL related to those topics. The listing of words to links is easy to maintain, and if anyone has any suggestions on additional words to add, please let me know and we'll see if we can't get...

Access the VOL on your iPhone, blackberry, etc...

If you have an iPhone, a Blackberry, an Andriod or Nokia Smartphone and want a better way to view this forum, then I've got some good news. I've installed and tested a piece of software called Tapatalk that allows you to see the forum in a more streamlined and efficient way for your device. I've been using it for a while on my iPhone, and really like it. Check out the website

BlairWitch has decided to step down as moderator, but don't worry folks.... she's not going anywhere. I think she wanted to share the experience with others whom she felt may be able to spend more time on the site. That being said, Shady has stepped into this role. May God have mercy on our souls!
